She earlier completed her Undergraduate and master’s degree at the revered University of Pittsburgh’s School of Nursing. She has been honored to present her research and clinical findings at national medical conferences. She offers valuable clinical, research, and teaching skills to our dedicated team.
She began working as a Registered Nurse in 2002 on an inpatient General Adult Mood Disorder Unit providing care for a diverse population of acutely ill psychiatric patients with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to: schizophrenia; bipolar, major depressive, and obsessive-compulsive disorders; psychosis related to general medical conditions; dual diagnosis disorders; personality disorders; and substance dependence/withdrawal, and detoxication of patients. In 2004, she transferred to the inpatient Eating Disorder Unit to expand her knowledge and the diversity of her clinical skills. She began working with those suffering from acute Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa. She was honored as the Professional Practice Council (PPC) Representative for the unit; a group of professionals brought together for their knowledge and problem-solving skills to promote and provide best practice nursing. She also worked within Presbyterian and Montefiore University Hospitals providing consultation and liaison to those suffering from co-morbid medical and psychiatric conditions requiring psychiatric consultation and care. During this time, she was responsible for initial evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment recommendations for psychiatric patients in the medical setting with acute and chronic medical co-morbidities. She became the Clinical Coordinator for all new residents and medical students who came into the department. Upon completion of her master’s degree in 2005, she transferred to an outpatient setting providing care to clients with psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychoeducation. She also provided psychiatric consultation services for the Butler County Prison providing those incarcerated with psychiatric evaluations and medication management. In 2016, she joined InVision Human Services, as their sole nurse practitioner, later promoted to Program Manager.
